I started off my professional life as a scientist, qualifying in human biology and then working in continued medical education and medical PR. Whilst taking a career break to have children I quickly realized that I was becoming more and more interested in interiors and design.

Aided and abetted by my sister who is a designer-maker, I visited design shows and open studios getting to know lots of creative and hugely talented people. So, when I had the chance to renovate my house completely, I was able to introduce ideas and products I had seen over the years.

What surprised me was how many positive comments I received about the unusual items I had used to decorate my home. At this point I decided to marry my PR/marketing background with the love of beautiful objects and this is how HUB was born!
